Is a privately held, family-owned company located in Helena, Montana. It is a welding fabrication and construction company founded in 1961.

Lance Wenger
Lance Wenger, joined the team over twenty five years ago as the company vice president and is now the owner. Prior to moving back to Montana, Lance worked all over the Northwest in the steel and construction field.
1961
The fabrication division started off as a one-room shop back in 1961. Today, the shop has expanded its facilities to just under 2 city blocks.
1976
Craig, Purchased Northside Welding in 1967. He built on the big edition to the original 1 room shop. Craig established Northside as a reputable business for the local community and working in the industrial plants such as: Asarco, American Chemet and Ashgrove Cement Plant.
1995
Lance Wenger partnered with his dad to further the company’s growth in the industrial market, throughout the State of Montana. Lance saw a need in the industrial and commercial industries for advancement; therefore, he expanded the company’s areas of experience to include a concrete department, crane department and pre engineered buildings.
2000
Ben Anderson came to Northside from Barnard Construction to oversee the concrete and pre engineered building department. Ben had 25 years of experience in the construction field and was welcomed as an asset to the company.
2001
One of Randy’s first employers was Northside Welding. Randy went on to work for Asarco and in 2001, came back to Northside to oversee the welding and fabrication division.
2008
Lance bought the business from his dad and Craig officially retired. Lance has made it his personal goal to provide a professional, productive and safe working environment for his employees and our customers.
2010
Mark Durbin took over as the shop superintendent after Randy retired. Mark started out working for Northside as a lead man in our welding field. Before Mark moved to Montana he work for various fabrication companies in North Dakota.
2017
Northside moved to its new location across town. Our shop is twice as big with additional acreage and office space for everyone.
Concrete Division
Over 20 years ago, Lance realized that a major part of construction included concrete and asked Ben Anderson, one of the concrete superintendents for Barnard Construction, to come and establish a concrete division. Overall, Ben has 30 plus years of experience in the concrete and construction industry.

Since the start, Northside has continued to grow. The company’s growth has been the result of an expanding customer base over all these years due to Northside’s job performance history. We are devoted to continuing to improve our job performance reputation that has been built over the years.
